Privacy Policy
Overview
QR Cute is designed with privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. Everything stays on your device.
Data We Collect
We collect no personal data.
QR Cute does not:
- Require an account or login
- Collect your name, email, or any personal information
- Track your location
- Access your contacts (unless you manually type contact info into a vCard field)
- Send any data to our servers or third-party servers
- Use analytics or crash reporting tools
- Display advertising
Data Stored on Your Device
QR Cute stores the following data locally on your device only:
- QR code configurations — the content you type (URLs, text, Wi-Fi credentials, etc.) and the style settings you choose, saved when you use the "Save" feature
- Custom logo images — if you upload a photo as a center logo and save that code, the image is stored locally as part of the saved configuration
This data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework and remains entirely on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
If you enable iCloud backup on your device, this data may be included in your iCloud backup according to Apple's standard iCloud policies, which you control through your device settings.
Clipboard Access
When the app launches or returns to the foreground, QR Cute checks your clipboard for a URL and offers to paste it automatically. The clipboard content is read locally and never transmitted. You can dismiss this prompt at any time.
On iOS 16 and later, iOS will display a system notification when any app reads the clipboard.
Camera and Photo Library
QR Cute may request access to your photo library solely to let you choose a custom center logo image. This access is optional — you can use all app features without granting photo library access.
QR Cute does not access the camera.
In-App Purchases
QR Cute offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock premium features. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Arcadia SW Systems Inc. does not receive or store any payment information.
Children's Privacy
QR Cute does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts, no data collection, and no advertising.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. For a utility app with no data collection, significant changes are unlikely.
